Collegedale is a city in Hamilton County, Tennessee. It is part of the Chattanooga, TN–GA Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is home to Southern Adventist University. The city has many attractions that are fun for the whole family.

Ijams Nature Center

The Ijams Nature Center is a 275-acre wildlife sanctuary and environmental learning center. Its mission is to connect people and nature, promoting environmental conservation and education, and providing recreational opportunities. In addition to wildlife viewing and learning, the center also has a bowling alley, arcade, and high-tech laser tag. While you’re here, don’t forget to take your bike and check out the trails.

The Ijams Nature Center is open daily, from 8am to dusk. There’s a gift shop, snacks, and trail maps, making it easy to plan a fun day out for the entire family. Its mission is to promote conservation and educate visitors about the area’s native flora and fauna. Visitors can explore the nature center’s grounds by going on a nature hike. Those with children can also enjoy the center’s Primal Playground, which offers many different ways to play.

Imagination Station

Imagination Station is a fun, new park in Collegedale, Tennessee that highlights the local community while embodying the principles of a fully inclusive playground. The park officially opened Monday, June 29, at 4 p.m. This interactive play area features a treehouse, a simulated train structure, and numerous slides and climbers. It also includes restrooms and drink vending machines. The park is also home to a walking trail that leads into Veterans Park. It runs right alongside a creek, so you won’t have to worry about getting hot or uncomfortable.

Imagination Station is a great place to take the whole family for an afternoon out. The massive playground features plenty of slides, playground equipment, benches, a picnic pavilion, and much more. It also includes a dedicated area for younger patrons.

Nature Nook

The Nature Nook is an amphitheater set in a wooded urban setting. The park is free to enter, and offers a great opportunity to learn about the natural environment in an unhurried manner. Visitors can also bring their dogs to the park, which features agility equipment and benches. The park is located at 5225 Tallant Road.

Another great place to visit is the Wolftever Creek Greenway, which consists of 4 miles of paved walking and biking trails. The trail crosses Apison Pike and runs along a section of the creek. It then heads east, intersecting Wolftever Creek on Spalding Drive and Tucker Road. From there, it continues to the Nature Nook.

Collegedale is located around Southern Adventist University and has a strong Adventist school system. The city is also home to the Tennessee Value-Added Assessment System (TVAS) system. The city also has a large open space, Veterans Memorial Park, located at 9300 Apison Pike. Another playground located behind city hall is the Imagination Station.

The Ooltewah-Collegedale Chamber of Commerce meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. There is also a Garden Club in Collegedale that meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. In addition, the Kiwanis Club meets every Wednesday, from noon to 1 p.m. There are also many other clubs and organizations in the area.

Nature Nook Amphitheatre

Collegedale is a city located in Hamilton County, Tennessee. It is part of the Chattanooga, TN-GA Metropolitan Statistical Area, and was founded as a Southern Adventist University in 1909. Collegedale has a beautiful urban forest setting, and nature enthusiasts can enjoy the nearby Nature Nook Amphitheatre for free. The city also has a large off-leash dog park with benches and agility equipment. Located at 5225 Tallant Road, the park is free and open to the public. Nearby, there’s the Aji Restaurant, which serves a vegetarian menu.

Nature Nook Amphitheatre is part of the Wolftever Creek Greenway, which has been designed as a safe walking path for residents. It begins at the Imagination Station playground, located behind the City Hall, and runs north. After that, the greenway intersects Apison Pike. From here, the walk continues to Spalding Drive and Tucker Road and eventually to Nature Nook.

Collegedale is home to the Southern Adventist University. The university is located on a ridge above the valley and is home to several miles of hiking trails. The campus has a coffee shop, which is popular with students. The café also features a variety of savory pastries and specialty teas.

Collegedale is home to a variety of community organizations. One of these organizations is the Garden Club of Ooltewah-Collegedale. The club meets the fourth Monday of the month at the city hall. Another organization is the Ooltewah/Collegedale Lions Club. This organization, part of a global volunteer organization, meets every first and third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m.
